So much for pulling on the boots this morning (kind of
impossible considering I didn’t pack them into the van)! Instead, we had a bit of a sleep in, got some
washing done and then let the kids have a bit of fun by taking them to the
pool. After returning to the van for
dinner, we stepped back out onto Peel Street to find out what happens at
night. Not really surprisingly it was
just as busy as the daytime, people everywhere and all the pubs were full. We found the Post Office Hotel where Chris E
Thomas (and Doug) was performing but obviously couldn’t get in with the kids so
listened from the outside for a while.
On the way back to the car, we also noticed 8 Ball inside the Court
House Hotel. We actually stood outside
the pub window for nearly an hour listening to them play while the drummer and
the kids were having fun pulling faces at each other… another late night
getting home well after 11pm. We are
going to have a lot of trouble getting these kids into bed at a reasonable hour
when school is set to resume!
