9 January 2013 – Lake
Glenbawn and back to Mark & Erica’s at Scone
After a very windy night by the lake, we packed up and left Lake
Glenbawn around mid morning. Upon
arriving at Mark & Erica’s, the kids headed straight for the pool to cool
down. Josh and I spent a bit of time
cleaning up the van and doing loads of washing trying to get the dust out of
the van and then a lovely warm shower to get the dirt and grime off ourselves which
had inbuilt into our skin. Later in the
afternoon, Josh and I headed into Scone to have a bit of a wander about town –
it was very quiet to the hustle and bustle that we had come from. Meanwhile, the lovely Erica was at home
cooking us all a feast for dinner, yummo, a baked lamb and veges for
dinner. After dinner (and a fantastic
dessert), the kids settled in to play Monopoly and then watch a movie, while
the adults watched a few movies themselves.
It has been fantastic to watch all these kids of various ages interact
so well and get along and I’m sure our kids will look forward to seeing them again
around Australia Day at the Tamworth Music Festival.
