Blacksmiths Beach
The
weather has been great at Blacksmiths and so has the company. We went for a nice long bike ride across the
bridge into Swansea. The two families
riding along together reminded me of The
Sound of Music where the kids are all riding along together, only
difference being our ages and that we were not all wearing clothes made from
the same material. In the afternoon we
drove over to Caves Beach and wandered through the many caves (although in some
cases the kids all crawled through them) and then went for a swim at the beach
and played a bit of beach volleyball.
The following day we went down to Blacksmiths Beach for a morning on the
beach and this time played beach cricket. Sami did so well swimming for ages
with Josh thru the waves. We all went for a drive for afternoon tea to Les and
Joan Butler’s house to reminisce Paul’s childhood stories - very sweet. Later
that night we were joined by the Monteleone’s for a surprise visit and sleep
over.
